Changelog
What’s new.
Every version of multi.dock, newest first.
The first release.
New
- A second Dock for macOS on the bottom, left or right edge of any display, with magnification and labels like Apple’s.
- Replace Apple’s Dock or run next to it. In Replace mode Apple’s Dock comes back when multi.dock quits.
- Badges and running-app dots, read from Apple’s Dock.
- 22 widgets in eight groups, from clocks, timers and calendar to weather, stocks and system stats. Each comes in styles sized to its content.
- Click a widget for its details in a panel above the Dock.
- Several Docks, each with its own apps, widgets and colour. Switch with ⌃⌥1–9, ⌘ + scroll, a swipe, the menu bar, a Focus filter or a multidock:// link.
- Window previews: rest on a running app to see its windows, minimised ones included, and pick one.
- Keep windows clear of the Dock: snapped and zoomed windows stop above it.
- Folders open as stacks and take a colour, a letter and a name of their own. Links show the website’s icon; spacers come in two sizes.
- Drag the grip at the end of the Dock to resize it. When space runs out, icons shrink to your minimum size, then the Dock scrolls.
- Auto-hide, use as desktop widget, and in fullscreen apps the Dock comes back when you rest at the edge.
- Your own app icons, and Ghostty’s chosen icon out of the box.
- Export and import your whole setup; take over the apps of Apple’s Dock at any time.
- A welcome window for mode, login and permissions, and a help tab with how-tos and answers.
- English and German, following your Mac’s language or your choice in Settings.
